Language and Culture

In whatever society a person is born, the language and culture of that society influences him. He initially learns the language of the closest people, his mother, after birth. Gradually the society has an influence on him. Mother's speech is sweet as mother's language is also sweet.
There is no substitute for mother's language to express genuine expression from the depths of the heart. The value of this mother tongue is so high that we trace the identity of some nation according to that language. Greek, Russian, English, Chinese, Thai, Malay, Arabic, etc. identify their nation according to language. Needless to say, similarly our identity is Bengali and our mother tongue is Bengali. However, there are multiple regional and ethnic languages within a country. Irrespective of the environment in which they are born, they also have a mother tongue.
